Matthew 16:2-4

     He answered and said unto them, When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red.

     And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowring. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?

     A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas. And He left them, and departed.

 

       This day we live in a perverse, adulterous generation one that seeks for signs and wonders. When I think about the church, it is a hard thing to think of it as adulterous, yet God says it is adulterous when His Word is perverted / twisted to into something He did not say. God says it is adulterous when His people, who say they are His, worship Him with their mouth while their heart is far from Him. People who are supposed to be teaching the message of the gospel are teaching what they want to rather than what they are supposed to be teaching. Many are drawn away and enticed by the sweet words of pastors, leaders / elders, evangelists, YouTube preachers, supposed prophets who are not preaching repentance and devotion to God and striving against sin. No, they are giving affirmations to people who are bathing in sin everyday. They are not teaching the true gospel, which is the power of God to Salvation and power to overcome sin, to those who believe it. The system of belief which they have built up is not the system designed by God, but by man.

       Many hundreds and thousands of souls are being led astray by their signs and wonders.

After having prayed about this many times, the Lord continues to confirm that these things are just a part of a bigger operation going on, it is the Great Deception and the end is the destruction of souls.

       The Lord Jesus warned that these things were going to happen. He said, Beware when many come in My name saying, Here is Christ, or There is Christ . . . Beware when men shall praise you...

Beware for there will be many false teachers.

Paul told Timothy, Be warned that in the last days perilous times shall come: false teachers, people loving their own selves rather than loving God, disobedience to parents, truce breakers, and more.

       These warnings were not given because these types of people did not exist before and they needed to be aware of something new; but left unchecked, it would run so rampant, like a plague, and would infect The Body of Christ, and it has today. Be Aware that all of these things were scheduled to happen just before Christ's return.

 

       Dear brethren: Beware of false prophets who say anything other than what Jesus taught, or who say things that sound like what Jesus taught, yet are tainted with the doctrines of men.

       Jesus never came affirming people, nor was that His purpose. The purpose of His coming was to provide Salvation for the lost. Salvation which comes through repentance of past sins and the decision to sin no more. Hence the instruction to Work out your Salvation with fear and trembling (Philippians 2:12). The fear of Lord – which makes men and women to depart from evil. Trembling, because of the realization that this is the whole duty of man: Fear God and keep His commandments. If we deviate from this duty and seek our own will, we have One to whom we must and will give an account, that is God. (see also David's sin and his response – he never made an excuse, but he repented and sinned no more).

       People who are supposed to be speaking, teaching, and preaching the Word of God have somehow come to the conclusion that it requires them to speak of only good things, rather than the truth. Instead of Speaking the Truth in Love (Ephesians 4:14-15) they are allowing souls to stay on the path of destruction in the name of love. They have forgotten that true love is Keeping God's commandments. Talking about how good God is is not loving God. Blessed are those who hear My Word and do it (Luke 11:28).

       Performing miracles is not a sign of true salvation, I am sorry to say. Even a man named Sceva had seven sons who were casting out devils, but they did not have Christ in them. On one occasion (Acts 19:13-16) they rebuked the demon(s) in the name of Christ that Paul preached and they found themselves ashamed as the demon(s) attacked them and they ran out of the house naked and beaten. So, no, dear ones, doing miracles and casting out demons “in the name of Christ” is not the same as having Salvation. For many will come in My name, Jesus said, but they are not sent by Jesus. They are messengers, but not the faithful messengers of God. There is a mixed message which they give – one that speaks some of the Truth and some of their own words guided by their own minds. However there is enough of the Truth spoken to make others believe that all of it is true, but it isn't – that is what makes it a Great Deception. In the food industry, it would be called GMO. I prefer to call it a BIG LIE – because that is what it is. It is not real and wholesome food, it is fabricated and has done GREAT damage!

       Jesus said, that it would be so great a deception that, if it were possible, it would deceive the very elect (Matthew 24:24). I have found myself with great concern after seeing some of these miracles and words of knowledge spoken, because I did not want to call something of the devil if it was of God. However deep in my spirit, I sensed something wrong with it. I prayed many times about this and the Lord has confirmed my concerns for the church.

 

The truth of the matter is this:

       After many years of changing the truth of the scriptures into man-made ideology, with commentaries and study Bibles and opinions and subjective rationality; after many years of pulling away from the Lord instead of drawing closer to Him; after changing the true purpose of the church to be nothing more than doing good deeds for the community under the banner of Christ, after making the church into a community center, NOW, enter teachers, pastors, ministers, evangelists, and others who teach about the power of God that Christ followers have available to them, and declaration, prophecies, miracles, words of knowledge. No one is strong enough or knowledgeable enough in God to examine these things and the way they are taught to know that they are being led down a path to further destroy them. Not only are they infected by sin, but now they are given a way and means of a “quick fix” to get to exercise “the power of God” in the miraculous and signs and wonders and so many “words of prophecy”, much like the doctors who give a temporary fix for a medical issue to deal with the symptoms rather than the problem itself so that the patient can be restored to true health and wellness.

        These ministers have provided a way to jump over the “red tape” of repentance and being washed in the blood, all the hard work to discipline one's self and obey the commands of God, just so the person can feel good about themselves and feel like they are doing a work for the Lord. [Emphasis on the word FEEL].

       God's people, Israel, were guided by some prophets as well who told them the same things. They were told they have God on their side, yet they were steeped in sin and they made no changes in order to turn away from it. They were told by prophets that they had no need to be afraid; all the while, Israel was trusting in Pharaoh king of Egypt, when the Lord said only those who trusted Him would not be ashamed. The Lord sent His true messengers (prophets of God) with a message: Israel would be destroyed unless they forsook their idolatry and adultery. It was and is a warning. The same message applies today, yet no one wants to preach it.

       A great destruction is about to take place on the earth very soon, yet no one wants to say to the sinner [especially those attending churches who say they are of Christ but are not truly following Christ]: Repent of your sin, be washed, become clean, reject all that has caused you to turn from the Lord your God. Serve the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind and all your strength. In turn, you will learn how to also love your neighbor as yourself – not as man describes love, but by God's description of true love, because He is Love.

       Many are led astray thinking that God is with them because they are able to do miracles. Brothers and sisters, if you are living in adultery and walking around performing miracles in the name of Christ, please know that the life you are living is a lie. You may say that you are of Christ, but you are not. Being OF CHRIST means entirely, through and through, inside and out all for Him. If the power of Christ is in you to perform miracles, then it is also powerful enough to keep you from sin and falling away.

      Now unto Him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, to the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen. - Jude 1:24-25

       Brothers and sisters, do not participate with this adulterous generation that seeks for a sign from God, as many people of the world say: 'Where is God? Prove to me that God exists.' This generation does not know, nor do they understand the ways of God, so they are blind and do not recognize His signs though they are directly in front of them – before their very eyes. Do not be led astray thinking that you can do any more for them than Christ did. Do not lead them astray by allowing them to believe they are alright with God so long as a miracle is done.

       The greatest, most miraculous thing that can ever happen is the salvation of souls. That is the reason Christ came, why He died, why He rose from the grave. He came to set us free from sin. The miracles that He did, were all in accordance with His will, in agreement with His plan to set free the ones that were in bondage and to be a witness that showed what He could do for the physical body, He could and most certainly would do for the soul – to all who will believe.

       Do not be deceived, dear brothers and sisters in Christ. Walk in the Light of the Lord, in the Light of His Word. Seek His face and you will live and those to whom you minister the Truth of the Lord, will have life as well.

       If you recognize that you have been led astray by believing the lie of the Deceiver who works in weak people to deceive others, please turn to the Lord Jesus now who said He is the Way the Truth and the Life, ask Him to forgive you and wash you in His precious blood. Ask Him today to be your Guide into all Truth. Remember that when you know the Truth, the Truth (Jesus) will set you free.
